We the parishioners of St. Mary Catholic Church, a body of diverse individuals come together as brothers and sisters in Christ in
service to God, the Catholic Church, our community and visitors.  We are each a unique child of God united through the
stewardship of our time, our talents and our continuous accountability to God and the shared responsibility to each other, to the
community and to the world through:
Worship: Celebrating the sacraments as a church family.
Education: Leading Catholics and non-Catholics alike in a growth of faith and welcoming back those who have fallen away from
faith.
Welcome: Shepherding parishioners and visitors to God's grace.
Ministry: Listening to the needs of the parish and community and responding with direct action in relation to he teachings of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ.
St. Mary Catholic Church welcomes ALL who search for Christ's
message of love, forgiveness and eternal life.

Due to the recent fires in Gatlinburg, we want everyone to know that to date our Church survived the fires
but there are many cracks and leaks found throughout the Church building and Rectory.  The strong smell
of smoke is also prevalent.  The insurance company will be visiting us next week to do their inspection.

Communicating to our Parishioners is very challenging due to the loss of electric and Internet so we are
struggling to get information in or out.

We do know of several Parishioners who have totally lost their homes and posessions so we are trying to
provide as much assistance as we can to them.

Stay tuned for more updates as they develope.

We are however in need of financial support for several Parishioners who have lost much due to the fires.

If you are interested in supporting us please contact Kevin Tierney @ 865-604-7017 or
Father Antony @ 931-787-3606 we are in the process of setting up a special account for the needy.

Checks should be made out to St. Mary Church - for the "St. Mary Gatlinburg Relief Fund" and can be sent
to the Church at 304 Historic Nature Trail Road, Gatlinburg, Tennessee 37738

Thank you and God Bless
